The acrobatic drama Rooftops of Beiping was produced by the China National Acrobatic Troupe, with Atomic Visual invited to design and create the stage visuals for the production.
This collaboration marked another stage project with director Lin Chen. Building on the physical expression of acrobatics and dance, we further integrated stage design with digital-media. In this production, we sought to introduce contemporary visual aesthetics into traditional acrobatic performance, using technical acrobatic apparatuses to help construct stage storytelling and explore new expressive dimensions of acrobatic art.
